1. Scope of Work

MCDO seeks a reliable supplier to source, assemble, and deliver 500 high-quality dignity kits to support displaced women and girls of reproductive age. The goal is to ensure hygiene, mobility, and safety in humanitarian crisis zones.

Total Quantity: 500 Kits

Delivery Locations:

  • Deka Suftu Woreda: 250 Kits

  • Kersa Dula Woreda: 250 Kits

2. Technical Specifications (Per Kit)

Each of the 500 kits must be standardized for the Somali Region context and include:

Underwear Cotton material (Assorted Sizes: M, L, XL) 2 pieces
Body Soap 200g, antibacterial/multipurpose 2 pieces
Laundry Soap 200g, for washing clothes 2 pieces
Whistle Plastic with lanyard (for protection) 1 piece
Washing Basin Medium plastic size 1 piece
Packaging Heavy-duty 20L plastic bucket with lid OR durable waterproof backpack 1 unit

3. Eligibility & Evaluation Criteria

Bidders must meet the following technical and legal requirements:

  • Legal Compliance: Valid Business License, VAT Registration, and Tax Clearance Certificate.

  • Experience: Proven track record of supplying similar kits to NGOs or UN agencies.

  • Financial Capacity: Demonstrated ability to handle the contract (Bank statements/Audits).

  • Delivery Speed: Ability to complete delivery within 15 days of contract signing.

  • Technical Sample: A sample kit must be provided for quality inspection prior to final selection.

4. Submission Guidelines

Suppliers should submit two separate envelopes (or digital files):

  1. Technical Proposal: Item specifications, company profile, and delivery schedule.

  2. Financial Proposal: Itemized costs (including VAT and transport to Liben Zone).

Important Note: Due to the security landscape in the Liben Zone, suppliers must demonstrate the logistical capacity to navigate local terrain and security protocols safely.
