1. Vehicle Specifications
CHC is requesting three distinct types of brand-new, zero-mileage 2025/2026 model EVs:
Item 1: BYD Leopard 3 (SUV)

Performance: 310KW Motor, 510Nm Torque, 4WD.

Range: 501KM (CLTC).

Battery: 78.72 KWH Lithium Iron Phosphate (Fast charge: 80% in 30 mins).

Item 2: Toyota bZ3X (SUV)

Performance: 150KW Motor, 200Nm Torque, Front Drive.

Range: 520KM (CLTC).

Battery: 58.37 KWH (Fast charge: 80% in 40 mins).

Item 3: Golden Dragon Minibus (XML6559JEVSOC)
2. Mandatory Documentation
As an importer, you must provide the following “Paper Trail” for EV importation:

Legal: Valid 2018 E.C. Business License, TIN, VAT, and Tax Clearance.

Import specific: Importer License, Customs Declaration, CoC (Certificate of Conformity), and Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin.
3. Financial & Bid Security

Bid Security (CPO): Exactly 2% of the total bid amount (converted to ETB at current rates).

Constraint: ONLY CPO is accepted (No Bank Guarantees).

Validity: CPO must be valid for 180 days.

Submission: The CPO must be delivered in person to the CHC office (Lideta, Sarbet area).

5. Strategic Insight for EV Suppliers

Fast Charging Infrastructure: While not explicitly asked for, your technical proposal will be much stronger if you include a home/office charging station (Wallbox) as part of the “Full Option” package for each vehicle.

Warranty: For EVs in Ethiopia, the biggest concern for NGOs is battery life and spare parts. Ensure you clearly state the Battery Warranty (usually 8 years or 150,000km for BYD/Toyota) and your ability to provide technical maintenance.

Color Availability: CHC is flexible (White, Black, Silver, Gray, or Kaki). If you have one of these colors in stock for immediate delivery, emphasize this, as the 15-day delivery window is quite tight.
