The Ethiopian Orthodox Church Development and Inter-Church Aid Commission (EOC-DICAC) is the development wing of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. To address development and humanitarian challenges in the country and enhance community livelihoods, the Church established EOC-DICAC in 1972 by Legal Notice No. 415. Later, EOC-DICAC was re-registered as a local organization with Registry No. 1560 in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019.
For over five decades, EOC-DICAC has implemented development and humanitarian interventions across the country. In response to the current national context, EOC-DICAC has adopted a Triple Nexus Approach, integrating development, humanitarian, and peace & advocacy initiatives.
